Apple iPhone announcement tomorrow?

Following the recent news about O2 winning over Apple with an unbeatable loss-making bid, iPhone fans are eagerly awaiting news of the UK launch date to finally get their hands on the most hyped gadget of the year this side of the pond.

Rumours have spread of an announcement before the end of the month, and the rush of O2 to equip their network with EDGE technology (the iPhone's top data-speed standard) helps confirm that these rumours may just be true.

The clincher though is Apple's recent communication with many in the Technology News sector, stating simply that "Mum is no longer the word" and the time and location of a press conference in the Apple Regent Street store in London tomorrow (Sept 18th) at 10am.

It is expected that tomorrow's press conference will confirm officially the role of O2 as main distributer, along with an announcement of when and where they are going to be sold... More tomorrow!
