Mobile phone recycling

I'm sure many people will be looking for a new mobile phone this Christmas, and with so many new handsets out at present like the N95 8GB, K850i, Viewty, G800 or iPhone to name but a few, it's going to be a hard choice. But don't let the excitement of your new phone make you forget about disposing of your old one responsibly.

Each year, over 100 million mobile phones are thrown away in Europe.
In most cases they are discarded, sent back to dealers, or left lying around in drawers and cupboards gathering dust.

A recent survey from T-Mobile suggested that the UK population is sitting on 52.3 million old phones, with a combined value of £1.1bn!

envirofone.com is the UK's number 1 online mobile phone recycling site, in the last year they have paid out £1.5 million to buy back unwanted handsets. Their service is free to use, pays you cash for your old mobile and helps the environment.

Your old mobile phone could be worth over £100 when traded in, they list over 800 phone models and accept both working and non-working phones (lower value offered for non-working), so give them a try!
