Samsung F490 Out Now

The latest in Samsung's lineup of 5 Megapixel cameraphones, has been released in the form of the Samsung F490, a full touchscreen device with a large 3.2 inch display. Full touchscreen devices often lack the tactile comfort of buttons, knowing where each one is as you run your finger over them, so Samsung have included a haptic-feedback system in the F490 allowing you to "feel" your way through the Croix interface with vibrational feedback.

Datawise the Samsung F490 is top of the line, with HSDPA 3G technology and EDGE to fall back on, the F490 is fully capable of utilising mobile broadband speeds. Back in the home, or for sharing with friends the standard Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0 provide top local data-transfer speeds. Storage on the F490 comes in the form of 130MB on-board provided memory and a microSD slot supporting up to 2GB cards for additional memory.

If you are in the market for a high-spec cameraphone but like the style of the iPhone then the Samsung F490 is a good contender in the field but a lot easier on the wallet!
