Nokia 8800 Arte

Nokia recently released details of two new 8800 series special editions. The Nokia 8800 Arte and Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte. They boast hardware upgrades over previous 8800 models such as a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, 1GB of internal memory and the addition of 3G.
The pair also pioneer some exclusive software changes aimed at their high end audience, with the tap-for-time feature and turn-to-mute. The former enables an analogue style clock to be viewed simply by tapping the bottom of the display screen twice. The later mutes an incoming call when the handset is turned face down, using an accelerometer to sense this motion.
Where the 8800 Arte and 8800 Sapphire Arte differ is in their styling. The 8800 Arte comes in black, with the 8800 Sapphire Arte a stylish brown, but with a whole piece sapphire crystal in the centre of the D-pad to further distinguishing it from run of the mill mobiles!
